Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of aducal.com and the ADU California platform. Please read them carefully before using the site.
Effective date: August 20, 2026 · Last updated: August 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using aducal.com, creating an account, or using any feature of ADU California, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or submit information through the site. The platform is intended for use in connection with property located in California.
3. User accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@aducal.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Permitted use
ADU California is provided for your personal, non-commercial use in evaluating and planning residential projects, and for professionals using the features made available to them. You may not use the site in any way that violates law or these terms.
5. Prohibited activities
You may not scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract content or property data; reverse engineer or interfere with the platform; attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; submit false, misleading, or unlawful information; upload malicious code; resell or redistribute reports, estimates, or data; or use the AI assistant to generate unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content.
6. Intellectual property
The site, its content, design, branding, logos, and software are owned by ADU California or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own project planning. All other use requires our written permission.
7. Information you submit
You retain ownership of the information you submit. You grant ADU California a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that information as needed to operate the platform and provide the features you request, including generating estimates, reports, and AI responses.
8. Property information
Property attributes shown on the platform come from third-party data sources or from information you enter. Records can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, and may not reflect permits, improvements, easements, deed restrictions, or current conditions. Verify property information with official county and municipal records.
9. AI-generated information
The ADU California AI assistant produces automated responses that may be incomplete or inaccurate. AI output is general information only and is not legal, architectural, engineering, financial, tax, lending, insurance, or construction advice. Do not rely on it without independent verification.
10. Calculators and estimates
Calculators, cost ranges, feasibility indicators, roadmaps, and reports are planning tools built on generalized assumptions. They are not bids, quotes, appraisals, guarantees of cost, or commitments from any contractor or lender. Actual costs and outcomes depend on your property, design, jurisdiction, site conditions, and market conditions.
11. Construction-cost estimates
Construction-cost output is a range-based educational estimate. Only a licensed contractor reviewing your specific property and plans can provide an actual price. Do not use our estimates as the sole basis for a budget, contract, loan application, or investment decision.
12. Property valuations and financial calculations
Any valuation, rent, return, or financing-related figure is illustrative and is not an appraisal, a lending decision, or financial advice. Consult a licensed appraiser, lender, tax professional, or financial advisor before acting on financial calculations.
13. Third-party data and services
The platform depends on third-party data providers and services. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or practices of those third parties, or for any external website linked from the site.
14. Subscriptions and payment
Some features are available through paid subscription plans. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are charged through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You are responsible for applicable taxes.
15. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals and access continues through the end of the paid period. Payments already made are non-refundable except where required by law. Questions: support@aducal.com.
16. Website availability
We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be modified, suspended, or removed, and maintenance or third-party outages may interrupt access.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and all content, tools, estimates, and AI output are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ADU California and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, project delays, permitting outcomes, or cost overruns, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars if you paid nothing.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ADU California and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the site, your submitted information, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
20. Changes to the services
We may add, change, or discontinue features, plans, or content at any time. Where a change materially affects a paid plan, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected subscribers.
21. Termination and suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, or create risk for other users or for us. You may stop using the site and request account deletion at any time by emailing support@aducal.com.
22. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site.
23. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
